01. Open a case.

Start with Intro Case, the free introductory case. Choose solo or with a partner, enter your name, and start the investigation. In partner mode, share your room code.

02. Read your briefing.

Begin at the detective office. Open the letter and the photograph. Read carefully. Names, places, and small details will point you toward your first lead.

03. Follow an address.

Use the address book to search for a person, place, or street. Select a result on the map, then visit the location to read the scene and investigate.

04. Look a little closer.

Open photographs and documents to examine them. Select an important passage and add it to your case files. Your notes help you remember why a detail matters.

05. Compare what you know.

Return to your materials and visit history as the case grows. Compare what people say with the evidence. With a partner, discuss your theories and follow the same shared progress.

06. Take the next step.

A new clue can give you a reason to return to a familiar address. Some discoveries need a code. If you get stuck, use a hint to find your next step.

07. Make your case.

When you are ready, open Conclusions and answer the questions in your own words. Submit your answers to finish the case and review the explanation. Your first investigation starts with Intro Case.
