Case 34.

Your information

Privacy

Here is the information used to keep an investigation and its preferences working.

Your investigation

A case records the names participants choose, its room code, discoveries, notes, answers and progress. Case information is shared with the investigators who join that room. Share your room code only with the person you want to investigate with.

Your optional account

You can play without creating an account. A guest Detective Journal is stored on your device. If you register, the server stores your chosen detective name, email address, a password hash, and the case records and skill marks saved to your account. A session cookie keeps you signed in. Passwords are never stored in your browser or as plain text.

Answer accuracy is the number of correct answers divided by the number of questions across your completed games. Partial answers are not counted as correct. In co-op, the record reflects the team’s submitted conclusions.

Information in your browser

Your browser can remember your chosen theme, solved practice puzzles, news preferences and coupon information. These preferences help the interface keep its state between visits. Clearing browser data removes local preferences; it does not itself delete a shared case record.

Support requests

If you contact support, the contact details, case reference and message you provide are used to handle that request. Send the information needed to explain the problem, without adding unrelated personal information.

Storage preferences and questions

Use Cookie settings in the footer to record your optional storage preferences. Essential storage supports the game and its settings. Contact support with questions about information associated with your case or a request to remove it.
